Goose Gate, Nottingham – approved

Something a bit more urban. Working with structural engineers TSK Consulting, and architects Leonard Design Associates, we are pleased to report that Nottingham City Council have consented BMOR’s proposals for redevelopment of the site of 38-46 Goose Gate in Nottingham city centre. The development site has a frontage to both Goose Gate and Woolpack Lane, and the proposals consist of the demolition of the existing buildings to provide student accommodation with 100 bed spaces and retail units with a floor area of 300sqm. The development was designed without car parking spaces, making our Transport Assessment and Travel Plan relatively easy, although details such as deliveries, servicing, and refuse collection had to be resolved, along with restrictions on student car parking and drop offs. Below are LDA’s CGI images of how the two frontages will look once complete.
