In 2021 we supported Barratt’s consent for 115 dwellings at Church Lane in Brinsley. The A608 Willey Lane/Cordy Lane junction was severely impacted by the additional development traffic. Hence, we designed an upgrade, changing the simple T-junction layout to a ghost island T-junction, with the side road realigned to approach at 90 degrees. Newline Civil Engineering Ltd have now delivered that scheme and posted the picture below. Can you spot the differences?
