brewing nicely at Everards Meadows

We have been working for some time with Everards to support their plans for Phase 2 of Everards Meadows. Franklin Ellis Architects have produced some exciting plans, which are being consulted on in advance of a planning application: https://www.everardsmeadows-haveyoursay.co.uk/

Everards own around 170 pubs, and are building Phase 1, which will include a new beer hall that is planned to open on 3 June. It will stand next to a new brewery that will come online over the coming months. Phase 1 also includes the new Everards headquarters, Jenno’s Coffee House, and Rutland Cycling, which opened in 2019.

Phase 2 is the adjacent 70 acre site, and proposals include a new 50-80 bedroom hotel, and the creation of a mixed campus, with up to seven new buildings, set around a tree-lined square. The development will have a green and leafy feel, with landscaping and trees, alongside infrastructure for cyclists, pedestrians, and vehicles. The area is popular with cyclists and walkers who can access the neighbouring Soar Valley and surrounding countryside from a network of paths and cycles routes.

The site is next to Fosse Park, close to M1 Junction 21, and surrounded by major roads that handle significant amounts of traffic. We have been modelling the traffic impact of the development using a Paramics model, while liaising with Leicestershire County Council, Highways England, and Leicester City Council.
