On Monday 11 November 2024, the public consultation website for the new settlement known as Isley Woodhouse went live. The site is south of East Midlands Airport. The emerging proposals include approximately 4,250 new dwellings; one local centre and two neighbourhoods centres; a sport, leisure and community hub; two new primary schools; a secondary school; employment land; and green infrastructure, including sports facilities.
It is the culmination of years of work to this point, and probably years to come. We have been working on the transport matters, including hosting a monthly Transport Working Group consisting of officers from Leicestershire County Council, Nottinghamshire County Council, Derbyshire County Council, National Highways, North West Leicestershire District Council, and others.
